I am Nationally Board Certified, and an Arizona State Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist. I have over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field; helping individuals, couples and teens through their struggles.
I am also a Certified First Responder Counselor.
My perspective on life stresses acceptance of all ethnicities, creeds, cultures, and social/sexual identities.
My philosophy as a therapist is to provide a supportive and compassionate atmosphere. A sense of safety is a priority to me. It is important that you feel that we are working at a comfortable pace and are creating goals specific to you.
Each session we will build upon and fine tune what is working, develop more strategies, and you will leave with a plan to enable you to feel better.
I help my clients to quickly identify their strengths and utilize them to problem-solve and feel better. We work as a team to develop a counseling or treatment plan.
I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents presenting with a variety of challenges. These include: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship stress, substance abuse, trauma, self-harm, chronic illness or disability, to name a few.
